In late 2023, while recovering from a running injury, I decided to try something simple: practice yoga every day through the holidays.
There was no long-term plan.
No ambition to reach 1000 days.
Just one week. Then another.
The practice continued.
On May 1, 2025 — Day 500 — the idea of 1000 days first appeared.
It felt distant. Not urgent. The practice went on.
With repetition came change.
More strength.
More flexibility.
A steadier breath.
But something else shifted.
Yoga slowed me down.
It created space.
Less ego. More presence.
Less noise. More clarity.
Over time, it opened a new world —
new teachers, new places, new friendships.
Retreats. Two practices a day.
More than 500 hours on the mat every year.
In July 2026, after more than two and a half years of daily practice, I completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Ubud, Bali.
The training didn't change why I practice.
It changed how I understand the practice.
It taught me that teaching yoga is not about performing.
It is about creating a safe space, paying attention,
and helping people build their own practice.
In September 2026, I began teaching a weekly Strong Slow Flow class at Prague Yoga Collective in Smíchov.
Sharing the practice feels like a natural next step.
I still consider myself a student first.
And I hope that never changes.
1000 days was never the goal.
Consistency was.
1000 DAYS YOGA grew from that discipline.
